Finally the plenum is finished. Started with a very thorough cleaning and used a little media blasting to get the paint off. Then I used a Dremel to sand off all the casting burrs, media pits, and smooth out the scratches and dings. Applied 2 coats of primer in total, each wet sanded up to 600 grit, and about 3 coats of color, the first two being wet sanded as well. The whole process took about 4 weeks. All of it was painted in my garage, unconditioned, in Portland, where the humidity was in excess of 80%, and I was spraying from can. The final product will hang here for a week or more to fully cure.

The color is as close to the Himmel Blau of the Roundel as I could match for $14. ;)

Engine is back. Now working on reassembly. Haven't decided if I should break it in NA and then turbo or turbo and then break in. Thoughts? Specs on the sheet.
