Anyone have a MS1 map?

Post by DangerWillRbnsn »

Hey guys,

I'm just playing with the MS1 tonight. Pretty cool! I've got it on a stimulator, and I'm just kinda pre-setting it so that it's an easy startup when I finally plug it into the car.

I've had a couple guys with MS2 maps send me their MSQ files, but it crashes megatune if I try to upload them... soooo, I'm wondering if anyone has a map stashed away on a computer somewhere for MS1?

Basics:
Stock M30b34
TCD stage 3
looking for up to 17lbs or so

Thanks in advance guys!

I've used Brad's screenshots for rough ideas, the only issue is the table resolution for MS1 is much less than that of the MS2.

So, I've fudged the numbers a little to get close... but I'm wondering why my tables only run up to 140kPa? How do I tune for boost at say, 200kPa if the table resolution doesn't go that high?

You would change the bins on the left side of the table. As long a your MAP sensor can read higher that will work. I believe almost all MS MAP sensors read up to about 2.55 bar absolute pressure.

What's your email? I've got ms1 file, using 745 setup with 30lb injectors, FMIC - you'll have to change it but its a staring point if you like.

Cool, thanks Dan! Sorry for the lack of understanding... how exactly do I do that?

Click on the bin you want to change and enter whatever value you would like to change it to. If you want to make that top row of cells 200 kpa for 1 bar of boost, click on 140, delete 140, and enter in 200. Also make sure you adjust the advance values themselves unless you want to run the exact same timing at 200 kpa that you were running at 140, and I wouldn't recommend that.

Whoever made that map was a bit too enthusiastic with pulling timing out. Won't make any power pulling timing back at that rate.

I had no idea it was that simple. I'm a 'tard sometimes. Anyway, the map I posted above is mine - a knockoff of Brad's posted in the Mega squirt thread. I haven't installed the MS on the car yet, just toying around here on the computer with a Stimulator so I have no idea how it runs. Or if it runs
