Thin head gasket a bad idea?
Thin head gasket a bad idea?
A search didn't yield what I'm looking for. I'm putting a b35 head on a b34 block with matching pistons. Besides possible valve clearance issues, which I'll check for, might there be a sealing problem with using a thin gasket, like .03" or .04"? I can see that there's a lower possibility of a blowout due to there being fewer layers and a smaller cross sectional area for the cylinder pressure to act on. Thanks.
