10 sec time slip

Post by Good & Tight »

Made it to the track today to try out the Paul Burke C4 auto transmission. And new set of wheels, 275/50/15 on 10" wheels.

Car ran 10.90 right off the trailer @15 psi, turned it up to 18 and ran the 10.48. Put a lot of hurting today on GTR's, Audi V10 R8, and other high end modded cars.
I think it has 9's in it, with a 2 step launch control.

I wanted to ask him for the vid as he had 4 gopros mounted all over the car, mine was facing forward not towards the back.

Found another slip a little faster time, made 8 passes total.

I think it's capable of 9's.

Here's the first pass right off the trailer @ 15psi, it ran a 10.99

How much boost are you running off the line? Seems like you could spool it a bit more, no? Are you running a trans brake or are you just mildly brake boosting it?

Holding the brake down, I can leave with 7 psi. Need more seat time with it do dial it in.

I'd like to see what you could do if you left the line around 10 - 15psi. When we run our trucks, we leave around 20psi

Congrats Otis. Finally a 60 that is close (1.58) to my 363rwhp m30 5 speed. ;)

What happened to the slicks? Is it spinning or not enough boost to really whack a good 60ft?

c4 trans like from a ford?

Your car is beyond awesome.!

The car doesn't even dip at all. Looks like something is just pulling it down the track. So smooth.

Still have the slicks, I feel more comfortable running the radials. From the vids it sounds like they might be spinning, not sure.
You have a 10 sec time slip with that 1.58 60ft of yours...?

Not with 363rwhp and 3500lbs. Do you still have the stock rear suspension? If so, you would do better with slicks tucked into the wheel well and weight transfer. Your setup is capable of 1.4X 60ft times and 9.XX ets at the current power level.

This thread has me revisiting my dream of a m30 turbo and GM automatic. The 82 e23 would love an auto. Prolly be quicker than Duke's toy too.
