Megasquirt EGO Control KPA limits

Post by Patrick McHugh »

I currently have my EGO control active above 40 and below 100 using an innovate LC1. It works great, but i'm wondering if it's OK to let the EGO make corrections under boost. I will be raising it above 10 soon. How about idle? Thanks!

I use ego up to 30psi hasn't done anything crazy like lean me out.
Do people usually disable this or what?
I wonder what supras or maybe a hellcat do sorta weird if they just turn it off on boost.

How steady does it hold your AFR?

I've always had good luck tuning the cells in my car that I didn't need to turn on EGO. The AFR was always pretty close to what I wanted. Maybe I'm missing something, but it just seemed like one more thing to tune. By the time I got closed loop idle and a/c idle up set to work with a big cam, 62lb inj's and 9lb flywheel turning on EGO just made the running characteristics unpredictable.

I like to keep my tune locked, and only make changes I want.
