Question for those with m30b35 swaps
So its not a huge question but, I have gotten myself a new engine to go in to my e30 and its a m30b35 out of an 88 735i. My question regards the cooling pipe at the back of the head, the B32 I took out had the cooling pipe and the new B35 doesn't, in your guys opinions should I put it back in, does it make a big difference in cooling? If it was in a e28 I'd put it back in..... E30's are tight though and not having it would make things a bit easier.

If you're going to use the b35 coolant hose setup then you don't need the goose neck pipe. I used the goose neck pipe on the back of mine because I wanted to do away with the b35 coolant hose complexity.
And I forgot to add, I also did away with the electric aux water pipe that is supposedly needed to boost heater output because of the new fangled coolant hose setup.
