Hello all.
Does anyone know of someone that can help me build a turbo M30 who is in or near Tacoma WA? I would pay for their services (not just beer and pizza), but I also want to help in order to gain some knowledge.
I lack the confidence and time to do this myself. I have most of the parts. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you
-Thor

What parts have you acquired and what are your goals? To a degree, this will dictate what type of shop could/should do the work...

not necessarily looking for a shop. Looking for someone with experience with M30 Turbo builds that would show me/help me build my motor with an intention to pay the person for their time and expertise. I would like to learn as well as contribute with the build.

We have built multiple BMW e30 turbo set ups at our shop in Seattle. I myself have built an M50 turbo e30 and I have good experience putting them together. Depending on what you already have and what your plans are I'd be willing to help you out on the weekends. PM me if you want, I'm also in the 253.

Sorry about that, tried to sidestep the discussion about taking it to a shop.
I have quite a list of parts. Including the motor thats currently in the car (M30B34), which had a leaky headgasket and around 280K miles. I'm assuming this is the original motor to the vehicle, I've owned it for a couple of years with no prior maintenance history.
other parts:
M30B32 - built by previous owner, very low mileage, forged internals.
-not sure if I should use this motor. Hoping whoever helps me can decide if it's worth using this motor or finding a different block. From what I've read, I should get another M30B34 or B35
Holset Turbo (HX35 I believe)
Turbo Manifold
Paul Burke Turbo Cam (N11)
Intercooler
2 sets of heads (B34 and B35)
B35 intake
Megasquirt and software
...and some other various parts
