What model wideband do you have?

I may be purchasing a new wideband soon. What model are you running & what was the cost? How long has it been in successful operation with the same o2 sensor?

The recommendation below is suitable for the kind of user who likes a bit of DIY work, but without getting into deep technicalities.

For a couple of years I have been using the controller of a young German guy. He has a small company called Sebastian Knödler Technologie, and here's the product page:

Of course, I got the 12V controller. I strongly advise for the non-soldering "E" or "S" versions.
I run it with a LSU4.9 lambda probe, that I had as a brand new spare part for my E86 Z4M - but I sold the car before installing it.
The Knödler wideband controller + LSU4.9 have been working flawlessly both during my short-term experiment with Megasquirt (running in wide band mode), and with the native Motronic 1.3 of the car in narrow band emulation mode.
The controller simply works out of the box (after properly connecting it, of course), it is built sturdy and it comes with nice features (e.g. in narrow lambda emulation mode, you can set the narrow band point at a different value than stoichiometer 14.7, thus fooling the Motronic to run a tad rich or a tad lean). Check the user manual on the manufacturer's website.
More, I cannot praise enough the customer support provided by Sebastian.

Should you have an old OEM lambda probe whose wire harness you can sacrifice, then the Knödler controller + LSU4.9 can be installed as a plug-and-play solution, without any modification on the original wire harness of the car.

AEM UEGO 30-4110. I paid about $160 and have used it for about 3 years/ 8k miles now. The display seems to jump around a lot in terms of mixture, but with some smoothing into MS2 it seems to run just fine.

Occasionally lately I have had the signal drop off, but I'm not sure if that is because of a wiring issue (the exhaust pushed the sensor against the frame rail) or not, but overall I am happy with it and don't have to calibrate it like a lot of people with the LC-1.

I've been running the Innovate LM-1 for the past 12 years. I've changed the sensor once I think. They don't make it anymore. But I wouldn't have an issue with any Innovate product. AEM is also pretty stout.

dynajet wideband commander for about 15 years. I'm on my 3rd sensor. I think it was about $450. back then. good unit but pricey. I bought it for the datalogging, but then megasquirt made that redundant.

Pretty happy with it. It's going to be getting a workout here soon as I'm going to re-do the tune on Vlad (dumping WAR) and tuning Maytag.

It uses the latest LSU ADV sensor from Bosch. This one is an improvement from the 4.2 and 4.9. It's also pretty cheap.
