Best thickness for a metal head gasket???

Post by 5timesturbo »

I am planning to install arp head studs on my m30 b34. I want to install a metal hg as well. The machine shop said they didn't take much material off of the head and I should be ok with a "standard" thickness hg. What is the best thickness?? I need to order asap...lol. Please help.

Eventually I'd like to get close to that number.....high 300s are good for now though. I think I'll get that with stock mgmt and everything to support 12lbs of boost. Someone tell me if my expectations are too high.....my calcs seem to suggest it's possible or expected.

You have an 8:1 compression engine. Stock is fine.
