Glow plugs working correctly Procedure

Is it true there’s a way to tell if the glow plugs are working correctly by looking at a module or a relay. My light doesn’t turn green it just light orange and goes out after 10 seconds but it has new glow plugs.

I think that is basically the procedure, if the green doesn't come on it means something is up. Quick check, hook a test light from ground to one of the glow plugs and see if you actually get power when the glow plugs are being called for. If you get power to the glow plugs, next thing to do would be pull the leads off all of the glow plugs and ohm check them to verify none are open. The new ones that went into my car were in the 3-4 ohm range.
