THAT, looks fantastic!! Well done.Splondike wrote:I have sold the Taurus to a person with a black car which it will look much better in and had a pair of Alpina B10 recaros retrimmed in Pearl Beige which was the original colour in my car. I have also gone black everywhere mine was brown and have chosen dark consoles and carpet to contrast the seats as I prefer that look.

stripped out the nasty carpet and repaired a few rust spots and coated the pan with flex seal
then installed sound dampaning
installed a M6 10" woofer, jbl 5x8's that serve as the mids, installed new radio with amps

This is my new baby! I have some good interior shots within the video. Still needs to professional detail because it hasn't been driven since 2005!
I just finished wrapping my e21 orange and it came out pretty great so I am debating on wrapping the e28 (gloss light blue).

My little white beauty from Japan.
Re: Show us your insides!
Installed manual Recaro seats from a MKIII VW GTI. The rails theyre on are meant for my E21 so i had to fab up some mounts to make it work.

Also changed the steering wheel. This also used to be on my E21. Bought a hub adapter from Ireland Engineering by way of TurnerMotorsport. Its a MOMO bolt pattern. The only marking is "Dino". Not sure of the exact model or size, but me having long legs appreciate the size difference. Although it does cut off the tops of the speedo and tach.

Also got a new Shift Knob and boot because the knob was no longer staying on the stick and the boot, well, the boot was no longer a boot. Went from old shitty leather and a vinyl knob to nice M-hurricane cloth boot and leather wrapped knob.

Loving all of these so far... except the cardinal. Not my style, yuck! Here's a shot I took yesterday, new knob and shift boot. Wheel could use a reupholster.
Re: Show us your insides!
Hi Michel,
I can see this a post from some years ago, so I don't know if you still read this forum, but just wondering, the floor carpets, where did you ge them from? Were they in the car? do you think one can still buy these somewhere?
Thanks!
Best regards from Belgium,
Kev

I realized I never posted the final interior photos of my M535i here with a new Taurrusrot & Anthracit interior that went in 2021:

First off, that interior is beautiful. Second, I see we're running the same head unit. Nice.vinceg101 wrote: Aug 03, 2023 2:32 PM I realized I never posted the final interior photos of my M535i here with a new Taurrusrot & Anthracit interior that went in 2021:
