Euro M30B34 10:1
Euro M30B34 10:1
So, I accidentally bought a euro M30B34 with a 10:1 compression ratio instead of an M30B35. I planned on turbocharging said motor but I am unsure how the higher compression will affect things. Has anyone built a turbo euro M30B34 before? Any suggestions?

God speed. Im sure someone will glady trade for a b34 and b35.

Just run 8-10 psi instead 16-18psi

e85 don't care
Re: Euro M30B34 10:1
How much power will that give me? I was aiming for 450 at the crank. If I get a thicker head gasket, I calculated my compression ratio to be 9:1.T_C_D wrote:Just run 8-10 psi instead 16-18psi

With good engine management you should be fine. Car would have phenomenal off-boost drivability and more area under the curve. Do it!

I guess I'll just go forward with the build and see what happens, airing on the side of caution of course.

Use a stock thickness HG. Power ultimately depends on many factors including turbo kit efficiency, elevation, fuel quality, ambient air temperature etc. I would pick a cam that matches the exhaust manifold.boi wrote:I guess I'll just go forward with the build and see what happens, airing on the side of caution of course.
