Thanks

Have a bosch small case sr441x regular and a reman, both used, tested, no warranty, fully functional solenoid engagement and retraction. 115 and 140 shipped respectively.

Are these still on national backorder?

In January 2023 my starter went out and after my experience removing it, I would have loved to replace it with the physically smaller SR441X. But I had no luck finding one anywhere so I had to purchase another big-case OE as a replacement.

I bought a cheapi replica from ebay and haven't had issues after 8000 miles of use. That was back in 2015 or so and I bought another last year for cheap. Seems to be good so far.

The current equivalent is more expensive now but is WAI brand PN: 17237N.

I found one, thanks everyone.

Upon pulling my old starter out, the top bolt was missing. A former owner or mechanic must have been frustrated!

Lucky for you; made it a lot easier removing it!

When I changed my starter, I installed studs in the block to facilitate easier R&R for the future. Even with that, getting a nut started on the top stud was a challenge (with an original-style starter).
