Question about subscribed threads

Post by wkohler »

Is it somehow possible to be able to see a list of threads we've subscribed to? If not now, in the future, perhaps?

How can one view subscribed threads when the ability to subscribe to threads isn't a feature? :dunno: Thus, my answer is no, there is no way to view subscribed threads. ;)

I know the feature isn't there. I was just curious if phpBB supported it, like vbulletin does.

Shawn, you can click "watch this topic" at the bottom of every thread to receive email notification when new posts are made. I assume this is the feature he is referring to.

Chris, the new version of phpBB (v3) allows you to maintain a list of favorite/watched topics. Along with other features such a friend/enemy lists ;)

Thanks, Justin. Is v3 in our future?

I never noticed it before, either. Until one day I was trying to figure out where the hell all of the bounced email messages in the admin@ mailbox were coming from.

There were a rash of people watching topics with invalid email addresses associated with their accounts so I naturally had to hunt down the cause...

I've been playing with RC1 on my test server... it works nicely but I don't think anyone is in a hurry to make the jump.
