Parting out 88 535i in RI-- Exterior now available.

Post by E30SPDFRK »

Hello, I just bought a 88 535i to put the engine in my e30. I will be parting out the rest of the car so I figured that I would give you guys the first opportunity. I will only be parting out the interior at the moment, because I would like to be able to move it around a bit and it will be outside all winter. The car has a blue non sport interior. I don't know what you guys would want from it so just ask. Some of the good parts are:
Nice shape door panels, passenger seat, rear seat, and an almost crack free dash (one 1" long crack). Let me know what you need!

Looking for a dark (navy) blue glove box with lock and latch. Is yours a dark blue?

Ben, pm sent on r3v.
mkoepp, the glove box had something sticky melt in it at one point, you probably don't want it. I have a working latch though, I will take pics later for you if you are interested. $5 for it.

If you didn't turn the car to swiss cheese already I may be interested in buying the whole thing. I'd like to see what shape the body is in. Thats my main concern.

When I take the engine out, you can have the engine mount. It should be out by the end of the month.

I don't know if it works yet but there is someone in line for it already. If I find out if it works or not, and the other person backs out, you can have it.

The interior is almost completely gone, only the seats, door panels and various switches are left. The exterior is in pretty rough shape, rear bumper mounts rusted off, pretty rust frame. If it was even semi-nice shape when I bought it, I would have brought it back, but it was just too far gone.

P.S. mkoepp, I will take picks and send them to you later, $15 for the whole thing.

Looking forward to the pic. I hope it's navy blue. :D
I am also in need of a side marker light housing. I have the lens but the metal bulb holders are shot.

I looked at it today, it looks ok- kind of rusty. I didn't have a jack so I couldn't check very well though. When I pull the engine I will check it out better if you still need it then.
srr, the seats are blue non sport seats. The drivers seat is torn, but the passengers and rear bench are in good shape. $140 for those two.

Here are the seat pics. The flash makes them look worse than the really are.
