help with reply notification preference

For some reason the post reply notification preference keeps turning itself off even after I reset it to on. This problem just started recently. Any ideas?

Where are you changing the option? If it is at the bottom of the post when making a reply, it isn't a permanent change for the whole site, but only for that particular thread.

To make the change permanent for every post you make it has to be done in your user profile, using the link under the MyE28.com banner. When the change is made in your user profile, the check box next to "Notify me when a reply is posted" should always be filled by default.

I just want to clarify if you are having an issue with the per-post option or the site-wide setting.

I'm trying to select the always notify setting in my profile but it won't stay that way. As soon as I leave the profile page, It resets to off. It's always worked till recently

Eureka! I discovered that if you make changes to your profile you must click on submit in order for the change to be accepted

I was going to mention that it was possible for me to change and save the profile option with my administrative powers, but this explains the situation.
