Is there a way to turn all that off when you log on?

This should have been posted in the comments section. Really, seeing avatars and signatures is part of the online forum experience. There are a few I'm not fond of, but I stick it out.

If you're running Firefox, you can install the Adblock tool and block individual images. We don't have a method on the board to block all images.
