FS: Momo Steering Wheel

Post by JoshInAtlanta »

I posted this wheel up a while ago inquiring, and it seems maybe it is from an E21.

Anyhow, it is a Momo wheel... leather is worn. It is attached to hub number C 2003.

$100 OBO + shipping.

Sold pending funds...

Nope... the PO of my Euro car left it in the trunk for me. I guess he wanted to swap out the M Tech but never did.

Thanks (I'll assume you mean cm though - a 1.5" wheel would have how many turns lock-to-lock? ).

Dan,

I have no clue. I assume it will fit with the proper hub. I've got a hub for my other Momo wheel(s) but never have had the time to mess with it.

We had a thread a while back about it, but the results were inconclusive as far as what a C 2003 hub will fit.

I think Chris K. knows a fair amount about them and I believe has a source for Momo hubs.

Momo Hub Adapters

Looks like the 2005 model will fit the coarse spline (up to 7/85), and the 2006 model fits the fine spline (8/85 and later).

I contacted Momo a while back to see what the 2003 and 2004 hubs fit and they had no idea. They said they were valid numbers, most likely for BMW, but had no history on the applications. Seemed a little odd but they must have not entered them into their current computer system and did not have old paper copies of catalogs handy.

FWIW it think the 2004 was replaced by the 0157. I have an old Alpina wheel with a 2004 hub.

When this question came up last time, I checked the hub on the 320i my parents purchased in 1980. It's a 2003. Why that number would be superseded, I have no idea. It should fit E12s and early E28s as well, the only difference being the distance between the wheel and the stalks.
