It would increase the static compression ratio.

It's the equivalent of a 325i head swap for a Super Eta. The head casting of the 323i is the same as the pre-88 eta, so it bolts right on and has a better cam than the 528e.

Combine that with all of the other stuff you do for an e-to-i swap, and you'll be hooked up.

Yup thats pretty much it, but for regular pre 87 etas, this also gives a slight edge over the super eta which is slighty higher compression. I wish I had an eta so I could buy that head. its a great deal people, someone jump on it. but also find the appropriate intake manifold.
