Might be interested in the springs... You don't need any E24 parts do you? Valve cover painting? I will have some painted ones ready to go if you feel like knocking $60 or so off the price.

Well, seeing as how your eta bit the dust and you have a 535is. You could have just said, "not interested."

The second is a perfectly reasonable question. I would have told him about your use of coilovers, which are incompatible with either the shocks or the springs.

Green springs

Post by alpinass »

Those RD springs are the BOMB! Spring rate is 276in. lbs - The stiffest out there - next step is coilovers. These are well worth the $$$$$. Grab them!!!!!

If you want these springs you should simply pay Matt's asking price. These springs are relatively rare and will easily fetch his asking price on the Bay.

Thanks for the kind words

Rich,

These folks are being foolish over all the questions - what car were they on? How many miles on them? One guy lives in Mass - He will ONLY pay $15 for FEDEX ground shipping. From CA to MA - Check the rates.

Rich is on the money. These are rare springs NLA - You don't see a great deal when its right in front of you.

Matt - I'll give you $160 for the 4 springs. Deliver them to me too. I want them detailed - put a nice coat of Zymoil on the - DON'T miss any spots B!!!!!!

I wasn't sure how that worked, thanks! :D

I'm sorry, is it wrong to attempt to haggle a little bit? He can say no, I'm sure he doesn't need any assistance...

BS. He won't pay that - not when I was quoted $25 to Phoenix. I decided it wasn't worth supporting Matt Hernandez, so I said screw it.

you arent being forced to buy the parts, they are being offered at way less than what they should be, shipping to phoenix is 25, an ECU is 10 dollars unless you go flat rate USPS! and its weightless! Springs are heavy, shipping is expensive, no way around it. Fedex is the cheapest, and im going out of my way to drive 13 miles one way to fedex, my time is worth 80 dollars an hour (thats my rate for working on E30's and E28's) so im going out of my way to drive down there for free.
I just sell things for fun, its just a hobby, this is the reason why a lot of TRUE enthusiasts have stopped posting cause of all the bullshit on the forum, and a reason why even after i was banned i didnt bother returning until a year after.
im not telling myself "aw shit! i just lost a sale!" i could really care less, i stopped selling on ebay because the same attitude i see here.
