Wanted: Roundels

Post by pldlnr »

Does anyone have spare set of decent roundels? I need hood and trunk Roundel emblems for my '87 535i.

Price with shipping to 98367?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Bavauto wants $28 for the set plus shipping. This is not a restoration, it is just to spruce up my daily driver because it is missing emblems. I was hoping to get a cheaper set.

Try your local dealer (one who supports your local BMW CCA chapter). Or better still, get them from Steve Haygood or Jim at Maximilian. Both are good guys and support the mye28 community.

That's obscene. Letter-writing campaign to BMW NA anyone? They should at least come with a lifetime guaranty for that amount of money. Aren't they still the crappy Italian plastic they always have been since the early '80s?

I agree, Phil! I just about fell over when I was quoted that price at the dealer. He said they just went up in November. I paid the price, but was laughing the gaul BMW had for tripling the price for the same crap. Does BMW really think this is going to shore up their capital shortfall from the weak dollar?

Just spend the money on the new ones. My car was a restoration piece either and I spent the money on new emblems...

FYI, the roundels on ebay are JUNK! Totally the wrong colors. When compared to an OEM BMW piece, the ebay specials are pink and faded blue.
