WTB: 2 Items

Post by ChristopherL »

Group,

I'm searching for the following 2 items:

1) Known good working Idle Control Valve for a 3.5L motor. My engine is the Euro 10:1 motor, but I think it takes the same "L" shaped ICV that the regular US 3.5L uses?

2) Early Style Rear Seatbelts. I need a complete set of rear Female Seatbelt recepticles for the back seat. These are the smaller buckle recepticles, most often found on early 533i cars I think? (I only discovered this after I bought the late style... whoops!)

Please PM me with a cost, for the item(s) shipped to 03304.

Thank you,
Chris

Is that a question or a statement? :dunno: :D

You can put P/Ns in at http://www.realoem.com and get your answer. In this case, the search shows they are the same.

Yes Shawn, it was a statement of query. (Think about how you'd use tonal control of your voice to express that as a statement of question *admittedly oxymoronic*)
I had already looked at Real OEM, as well as cross-checking the parts with online parts suppliers. However, I still left it open for a response from those who may know more about the car(s) than I.

Now the question has been raised if it's an early or late style? Fook... I duno! Maybe I'll resort to the use modern problem solving, and just post a photo of what I'm looking for. ;)

I need one o' doze!

Vataloco - once I know, I'll let you know. Thanks!

No, it wasn't a statement of query (sic) -- there is no such thing in the English language. What you actually asked us was whether you think that. You wouldn't speak that phrase anyhow, so tone is irrelevant here.

What you'd say would be either:
I think it takes the same "L" shaped ICV that the regular US 3.5L uses. Is that correct?
... or...
Does it take the same "L" shaped ICV that the regular US 3.5L uses?
Now, what do you mean by "early" or "late" style? We're talking M30B34 here, not M30B32. All M30B34s used the same one.

My 86 had the smaller units, my current 87 has the larger units, it appears to be another 86/87 changeover, FYI.
