bav
Does anyone know, based on info provided, if they will work on a Bavaria?Shawn D. wrote:What they came off has little relation to what they were on originally. What's the offset? As I said above, the offset looks high enough to warrant spacers and longer lugs on an E28.trebucket wrote:Well I don't think they're 318ti's as they were on a E28 5 series.
Re: bav
They would work, but probably require spacers and longer lugs. He hasn't posted what the offset is.LA wrote:Does anyone know, based on info provided, if they will work on a Bavaria?Shawn D. wrote:What they came off has little relation to what they were on originally. A better question would be: Why do you want to do that to your Bavaria?

those rims were on 318ti & many other e36's as a new car.
The car is just around 14' long.
*whispering* He doesn't even know the differences of they're, there and probably their. Nor when to use "a" or "an". I would suggest that his apostrophe key is inop on his keyboard (doesn't use it), but he hit it for the feet designation. Let's don't confuse him further...

Lots of confusion in this thread.
I think most of you guys are mistaking these wheels for the E36 16" sports package wheels found on 96+ 328is vehicles ( with high offset.
at first glance that what I thought there were too
like this :
but look at them closely , especially in the center around the roundel logo area. they really look like after market wheels.
that being said, if he did have them installed on an E28, then most probably they have a low offset and are proper for E28, E24,E23,E32,E34.
A side note : I have tried installing high offset wheels on a low offset vehicle ( like an E28 ) and you can't even hold them in place, because the wheel contacts the strut and the brake caliper.
So If they worked on an E28 with no spacers, they probably have low offset.

Thank Arinuts for enlightening the doubters, and nit pick speculators. Think of all the BMW lovers who would avail themselves of this great site if not for characters like wkohler and their, they,re they are babbling rhetoric. With Ebay I get more money tapping, and less gum flapping. Thanks again for your assistance and you were right, no adaptors, longer bolts, or spacers necessary for the wheels to fit perfectly. Shhh Chris..........I think I might have pissed him off.

Uh, Dave, is it? Sounds like you're a bit put off by the responses you received here. Yes, we can be a tough bunch. You need to consider that your post #1) did not contain a hyperlink (easy to do), thereby not making it easy for your audience; 2) you made an inaccurate blanket statement about fitment; and 3) they aren't BMW wheels in the first place - they wouldn't even be considered knock-offs, as the centers are so different. Just because a wheel will fit a BMW and has a BMW roundel logo in the center of it does not mean they're BMW wheels. And beyond that, this "style" of wheel has been pretty much vetted as one of the most ungainly wheel designs BMW ever made.
BMW owners and 'philes tend to be a bit more educated and well-spoken than most other enthusiasts - at least we love to believe we are. Therefore, grammar and spelling is teased mercilessly on this board. This is a forum - gums flap here. Perhaps if you had engaged yourself with the board's social qualities instead of merely using it/us as a sales and marketing tool, you would have understood that.
I'm sure your "tapping" money awaits you elsewhere...
You've done nothing but visit the FS/Wanted sections of the board so you can sell things, and that's one of the worst ways to become part of the community here, especially with an attitude.trebucket wrote:Thank Arinuts for enlightening the doubters, and nit pick speculators. Why didn't you say that after my first post saying "Note that to fit E28s, these wheels will require spacers and longer lugs."? You still haven't provided the offset, which would have eliminated all of this ruminating in the first place.trebucket wrote:... no adaptors, longer bolts, or spacers necessary for the wheels to fit perfectly.
BTW, Arinuts, I wasn't confusing this (obviously) aftermarket wheel with an E36 wheel.
