WTB: m30 motor, 265 transmission

Post by al525i »

okay guys, i'm looking for some parts for my car here. I'm located in South Carolina but will drive a considerable distance or pay shipping charges for the right stuff.

First. I'm looking for a nice 265 transmission (removable bellhousing) It needs to be basically perfect, I do NOT want any syncro issues, hard shifting, or bearing noises.

Secondly, i'm looking for a good m30 engine, Either a b34 or b35 engine. I want a north american motor that will be good for turbocharging and i don't mind dealing with a few oil leaks but don't want any real problems to deal with (i've already got one that i can rebuild and havn't ruled out that idea yet)

Anyway, let me know what you've got and i'll get back to you.

the best way to reach me is through email or phone

thanks!

ebay has what I beleive is a brand new alpina m30 engine for 2k. I am not affiliated with the seller, but it is from Providence so minutes away. If it is what you or anyone else is looking for, I am happy to go verify it.

That Alpina M30 would be nice if you only wanted a 2.8l or were trying to build a B6 2.8 replica.

For the folks that have plucked M30b35 from '89-'91 535i, 735i. I know for a fact the '88, 89 635csi and the '88 735i are a direct bolt in. The boss points are on the block - what is the resolution?
