The site is really slow today and I'm getting a lot of 'can't open this page' errors - anyone else having issues?

It's the cold. Electrons are a little sluggish today in the northern climes.

I wasn't even able to get on the site at all for the rest of the day from my office computer. This was the only site with a problem. It seems to be fine from my home computer.

The site does suffer from occasional slowdowns, but nothing that hasn't cleared up after less than 5 minutes. I haven't had any issues today. Sounds like a problem between you and the server somewhere unfortunately.
