It's very nice manifold, no questions. But it's top mount, so I will need to change all piping to intercooler. Also oil lines, downpipe, wastegate. Almost everything. With adapter I can upgrde turbo and do just a small change to downpipe, all the rest staes the same, or almost the same. Totally different investment.Good & Tight wrote:You can buy a tubular manifold for $850. and run any turbo and wastegate you want.
Why mess with ancient manifolds?

If you have your own opinions on the topic then that is fine. Do I destroy an idea of a tubular manifold or a different cast manifold, NO. I have an old Cartech manifold and a TCD manifold, the cartech is cracked and I am using the TCD. I do not have a problem with these manifolds they are great manifolds but some people are looking for a different option such as this adapter plate.
AS far as my shitty designed adapter plate. You are seeing a rough work up, that was the first plate that we had made. IT is in no way finished. If I had known I was going to be faced with so much criticism I wouldn't have even brought the idea here and I would have taken it elsewhere.
So, I am asking anyone with a negative opinion on my idea to please stay out of this thread. If you don't have something nice to say please do not say it at all.

As my other project has gotten most of my time recently, I haven't gotten this baby tested out yet I'm afraid.turboinduction wrote:Did you get respectable power out of it?
Did you bead blast and ceramic coat that manifold, its quite a beauty.
On the pic here it's only cleaned and sand blasted, haven't gotten the paint on yet
