Need a turbo chip
Hi,
I need a turbo chip. I have now received 3 from TCD, and none of them work.
I have a 24 pin ECU, 059. The ECU works fine with the OEM chip, but I get nothing with the TCD chip.
Thanks!
Kamal

I hear you Todd, and you have been super responsive throyghout the entire build, but I'm ready for a backup plan in case more chips keep not working in this particular ECU such as someone who has a chipped ECU they'll loan me, sell me, etc. but I'll definitely stay put until the next batch arrives.

I am working closely with Todd, who has been a superstar with his responsive help throughout the last week of installing. I think we had about 200 emails!
More chips are on the way, but if it the problem persists, I'm ready to open the issue up...in case someone else has had such a problem. Perhaps it's something subtle on my end...or maybe there's an odd run of ECUs that presents an incompatibility.
I am definitely interested in buying an extra 24 pin ECU though, if anyone has one.
But yes, the chips are oriented right, the original chip works, and there's only a problem when the turbo chip is in.
Next update this weekend when some freshly burned chips arrive.
Thanks again to Todd, and the kit is awesome! Perhaps I just need to go MS.

Arrived back home from a couple days of skiing to the freshly burned TCD chip that Todd sent out.
With major trepidation, I installed it....hooked up the battery....pushed the key into the ignition...turned it ever so slowly.......
IT WORKED!!
Now on to smaller problems...like planning for an intercooler, EGT gauge, and a little more boost. YAY!!!
I'll be finalizing the install pics and post for those interested in looking at the final product, and a video that will start to show my tuning with my boost gauge, AFR gauge, and tach.
A quick question...how does Megasquirt determine the cylinder pressure Kpa?
Thanks so much to Todd for a great turbo kit, and all the support. Who knew a I-6 could be a muscle car?? lololol
