EGT never went pass 850 deg C

I know because I have sensor and gauge.
850C = 1562 deg F. I submit this is, shall we say, a bit . . .toasty. Which simply serves to support Jeremy's observation.
I would think charge temps ex-compressor somewhere in the 140s C. Depending on the current IC efficiency, IATs 60-65 deg C.

Is the sensor before (in the manifold) or after (in the downpipe) the turbo?

The sensor is inside the manifold, almost in the middle, little bit closer to front.

850C is getting to be nearly too hot. What are your IATs?
