Turbo Questions

I drive an Automatic e28 and want to turbo my car is it weird or not worth it to turbo my car
i've been busy getting my car in good shape now that im getting close to having it in good health i want to start doing fun things to my 535is.

The 745i had a turbo and only came with an automatic.
