So I tried to turn up the boost on my car with no success. It was at 175 kpa which is about 10.5 psi. It would get there and hold pretty steady in all gears.

I entered 195 kpa in the boost target table in all spots that had 175 kpa. 195 kpa is about 14 psi.

The problem is it will only get to about 190 kpa,and it will only do it when in 5th gear. I noticed in a log I took on my way home that the tps % will not reach 100% in any gear other than 5th. In 3rd it went to 35% and just flattened out. After the tps flattened the boost would stop climbing. In 4th gear the tps went to about 45% then flatten out. In 5th it will goto 100% and the target will almost be reached.

I dont understand what gear the car is in would have anything to do with the tps %. I have recalibrated the tps a couple times. It goes to 100% everytime.

Im using a diy solenoid. When peter was tuning it and we turned the boost upto 13 it seemed to reach it just fine

Clearly you have something going on with the TPS signal, which needs to be figured out. Are you saying that the TPS shows full range of signal during manual testing but not showing to do so in logs? with the engine off can you watch the TPS reading on the TS console while you depress the pedal? If it acts normal with the engine off I would guess that there is an issue with noise in the wiring.I had to deal with a couple noise related issues in my MS install.

Am I right to assume this is an MS ECU?

It doesn't sound like a TPS calibration issue but could be a firmware issue. I haven't used MS for boost control, but I am pretty sure the boost control duty table is TPS and RPM based. For some reason the TPS signal that MS is seeing is being limited, which limits the solenoid DC and that is why you can't reach the boost you want.

With the key on and the car off, do you see 100% TPS% with the pedal on the floor? What about when the car is running at lower engine speeds <100kpa?

Key on, engine off the tps % on the ms dashboard is showing 100% when the pedal is to the floor, 0% when im not touching it. The change from 0-100% is nice and smooth.

Ill drive it home then answer the other question.

If I have 175kpa entered in the table at 50%tps and above(too 100%tps) and all the way across from 800-7000rpm it will act normal, tps will goto 100% in all gears and ill reach 175kpa. If I change all the 175kpa too 190kpa in 3rd(as an example) it would only goto 71%tps whether I was under 100kpa or not

Its raining and testing this in the rain is pretty sketchy but, in a slow roll and flooring it in 2nd or 3rd on ts the tps is reaching 100% but it wont reach my 190kpa target value. Maybe reach 179-183ish.

Doesn't the TPS show WOT at 80% throttle? I think mine does.

On my way to work in the am ill mess with the gain %'s. Right now they are:
P-25
I-12
D-2

Ill try Clongos P-12. I-6. D-0. And see how it acts.

If using the same valve it should all work on the same
settings correct?
Like those aftermarket Greddy or hks systems. Just dail in your boost to any car. I don't get it.

Your Tps doesn't matter just change it to 30% = wot
so it'll work with your messed up tps.
When will you be cruising under 30% over 1psi?
Over 100kpa you'll be wanting to accel not cruise.
know what I mean?

I could never get closed loop to work btw just using duty cycle.

If I route the hoses like DIYautotune says to route them, I hit overboost.

I'm not sure why they were routed differently, hopefully Peter will chime in on that as he decided how to route them.

I think because you have it on inverted ?
Mine does the same. Does nothing on normal, inverted it over boosts no matter what.

output polarity is set to normal

After double checking my setting I had the target table set to 205kpa and overboost protection set at 199, so that's probably why it hit overboost protection.

Ill change it to 195/205 after work and try it out again.

Me either. What the hell is up with that? I resorted to spring adjustment only :? Which works fine but a little less spool time would be nice.
