Fmu tuning help

Post by rod2190 »

Just got done converting my 86 e24 to turbo, read the instructions that the fmu (begi) came with but wondering if there are any precautions to take or procedures to follow particular to the m30's i want to run 14 psi but don't want to blow it up any suggested fuel pressure for the "zero point" for starters? Any and all help will be highly appreciated. Thanks

My M20 didn't need any extra fuel between vacuum and boost. The stock FPR seems to handle that just fine. I ran that center screw backed off so it had no effect. I also had to run a restrictor in the signal line to the RRFPR because it was boosting fuel pressure too quickly. This is especially likely if you're running larger than stock injectors.

The newest BEGI is redesigned and no longer requires a restrictor.
