How often do you find yourself having to replace the o2 sensor on you boosted car? I think my 2nd one in 4 years just shit the bed.

I've killed widebands in <6 months, perhaps less. I tend to think there's something funny going on with the LC1, it's easy to kill a wideband with a shitty heater control loop.

Rich mixtures tend to kill sensors faster, as does oil (which is why I was going through them so fast) :(

i think its just lc1s suck, killed 4 sensors and 2 controllers, then i got a AEM and it just fucking works, no calibrations or taking forever to warm up and the AEM is running on the same wiring that the lc1s were hooked to. so far so good with the stereo FAST system on my m6, first unit needed warranty replacement but 2nd is good

Does Aem use the same o2 as lc1?

same unit but different plug, the exact bosch lc1 sensor is oem on most turbo VWs so its not the sensor that is a POS

My old LC-1 was a hunk of shit too. My LM-1 works great though. Never replaced the sensor, and I bought it used.
