I have an old L-Jet e12 m30b28 turbo, so Im trying to verify what sensors I need and which ones I can delete to run MS. If people have specific suggestions as to brand/PNs then that is helpful too.
-MAP
-coolant temp
-Crank sensor -- I need to get one from a B35 with Harmonic Balancer I assume
-Wideband
-TPS
-IAT
Can MS control the ICV as well or do people delete that and crack the throttle plate open a bit?

Map - Depending on what boost levels you want the stock MS 21psi should be fine
Coolant temp - A GM from DIY is $17, or you can use a BMW one with the correct thread for your housing
Crank Sensor - Stock B35 with 60-2 balancer (I have one if you need it)
TPS - 3 wire BMW is the easiest, they came on lots of cars. (I also have like 10 of these)
IAT - GM from DIY
WBO- Innovate LC2
You have some options for ICV, most guys use the glens garage board. Like anything with MS you can use lots of other configurations than what I listed. Check out the MS sticky, all M30s are pretty much the same when it comes to the squirt.
Swapping over to a B34 intake manifold will make your life easier since you can just use a stock fuel rail and injector setup.
Are you building your MS or buying pro built?

Excellent post, very helpful! So are there any sensors I'm missing in my list? Or is that about it. I would prefer to use a coolant temp sensor that fits the threads already so I'll find something that does.
I am going to need the crank sensor and wheel so I'll PM you about that later.
I'm planning on using a custom fuel rail to go with the early intake because I already have it setup for the injectors and I like the looks better
I'm looking for a pro built ms setup as well. I'll be building my own harness for it though.

Be cautious with Glens Garage, the site is still up but the last I heard is that he isn't shipping anything. This was the word as of mid 2012.

The site shows updates through 2013, so maybe he has fixed things? Caveat emptor.

Also, on the L-Jet managed cars, the spedometer is driven by a worm gear in the transmission instead of by a sensor in the diff. Will MS need to have input of vehicle speed?
I would like to use an OEM ICV so I'll find something to control the stock 3 wire Bosch ICV.

No the MS does not need a speed input.

Perhaps you could build the same circuit the GG board uses on the proto area of MS?
