86 bmw 528e turbo?

86 bmw 528e: i have a td04 turbo and stock intercooler, explain to me why i should or should not install this? thanks.

The fact that you are asking the question at all is reason enough to not install it. Just having a turbo and an intercooler is like 2% of the way to a running turbo car. I am assuming this is the hardware off the WRX. The short answer is that the turbo is grossly mismatched to the m20 and I don't know how you will get a top mount intercooler into an e28. What are you planning on doing for a manifold. I suggest you do a lot more reading about turbos and proper turbo matching I suggest you start here. There are some recommended books in that thread.

Not my normal reply. You really need to do some research & then ask some questions based upon what you find out... In additon this this you'll also want to give some input as to your planned setup & expected power goal.
