Are they worth installing on a boosted m30?

The consensus of the sources I've asked is that unless you're building a 'maximum effort' motor it's a waste of time and money. Ken's LH build had a knife-edged crank but it's hard to say whether it was worth the cost or how much performance it adds. My decision to use an M106 block was due primarily to the existence of piston oilers and the longevity it would add. Performance-wise I don't expect it to make much of a short-term difference. I believe PB mentioned he had estimated for a client the cost of machining squirters into an M30 block to be ~$1200. For most people it's probably not worth the cost.

I never had a problem without them, up to 1.5 bar and 7000 RPM on a very regular basis.

The crank scraper might help reduce oil loss through the crankcase ventilation system. Its not worth much other than that.
