Soo I'm having some complications with my build the engine idles great but when i rev it it won't go past about 2500-3000 rpm its like the rev limiter is set to that but is not. Could it be fuel cut or spark I just don't really know where to start. Also want to say thanks ahead of time because any info is much appreciated

Double check your ignition jumpers. Data log what's going on and post your msq and log file.

Just to add my ms2 was made by peter Florance as a plug and play with my harness but I'll post my logs later tonight

If Peter built it I'm sure the hardware is correct. Did he set you up with a base tune, or did you start one from scratch?

Yes he did set me up with a base tune I talked him and he seemed suspect it as a fuel issue but at the moment i have no spare injectors to test out. Also I can't seem to figure out how to post my logs

Just found this forum not really sure what the solution was whether it was a diode or capacitor or what can someone do some explaining???

Very common problem. I experienced the exact same thing upon initial running of my MS system. Make sure the VR sensor is an appropriate distance from the tooth wheel first of all, and I guarantee you need a 10k resistor in the VR circuit if you don't already. I was never able to get over 2400 RPM until I installed the resistor. Your mileage may vary but that was my exact issue and I recall reading scores of other tales similar.
Is it a PNP? Self build?

Its a PNP built by peter florance . as far as air gap goes what is the spec for these m30s? And does it matter what side of the vr circuit the resistor is on??

Yes it matters how the vr is wired. Go to the mega manual and read about vr sensor polarity. Getting it wrong screws up dwell, maybe more.
good luck

This sounds like a VR problem. I may have missed it, but did you solder in a 18k resistor inline of the VR jumper? Post a photo because now you have me confused with your last comment. Resistors don't have polarity, I don't know what else you could mean.

We're going to need more info than that to help troubleshoot the issue. Has the car run correctly before or is this a new MS2 install? Data logs from the issue are extremely helpful as is a copy of your .msq file. Without those it could be a countless number of things.

This is a new ms2 install. I recently talked to Peter himself and he told me there is a 4.7k resistor for the vr circuit he suggested to increase the air gap so tthat's what I'll do see if that helps but I'll keep you all pposted

4.7 seems low compared to my 18k, but I mean I would imagine Peter knows what he is talking about. He is highly experienced in this field, I would heed his advice and then report back.
