i have a clutchmaster segmented kevlar "stage 3". it has served me for years.Taking up to 28psi maxing out the turbo.
the disc doesn't appear to be very worn, but it definitely is slipping and started to do so alittle bit before taking it out to inspect
There is some heat marks on the flywheel/pp.

With a full tank and a passenger and good grip it'll now slip as low as maybe 12psi.
RPM shoot to 6k after boost in 3rd and stay there while mph catches up. just me in the car it's "ok" anyway.

What's a clutch that can handle the load but without being an on/off switch?
the kevlar was amazing. just a hint of grab but felt stock like. in my opinion it should've lasted longer.

i'm on e85 want to get up to 25psi again. rip :x

You exceeded the tq capacity and smoked it. It may come back to life if you are nice to it for 500 miles. The only way to get more tq capacity with stock drivability is to go to a twin disc setup and they are big $$.

I love the clutchmaster kevlar disk because it works so well with just a stock m5 pressure plate, light pedal , great engagement, lasts for years of abuse. You just need a stronger pressure plate, try a spec stage 2 pressure plate with your kevlar clutch. I had one before the clutch master, it was definitely harder to push in.

^ya man i loved the kevlar it was so smooth yet it'll grab amazing.
as you can see there was 0 wear on the parts except for the disc that stuff was smooth.

So i talked to a bud that can order me a custom clutch and test the break away tq on the pp
add shims if it grabs better spaced out. ace-mfg.com
The catch is... i need an input shaft to make the rig and i can't find any at the junkyards.
Would an m20 one fit? i'm worried that it will be super harsh but he said they will put the best friction materiel that meets my requirement.

That or a tilton. ya it's baller but is it going to be smooth yet hold 30psi on an m30 whatever tq that is. that's like 600tq?

Drove it some more and it's coming back but it'll slip past 15psi
super bummed.

With a setup that requires a heavier pressure plate that requires more force, isn't there more risk to wearing out a thrust bearing?
