Can anyone assist with obtaining a radio security code?

Post by Fanclutchnut »

Hi,

We have an oem premium sound pioneer KE-81 zem-02 radio which came with our m5 project car when we purchased it. However, we do not have the code card. As per the guidance on several threads here, we reached out to our dealership and provided the radio serial number and car vin. After contacting corporate, they got back to us and provided a 5 digit pin, with a 6 in the code. This radio does not have a 6 digit. I assume they got the wrong code. I let them know but haven’t heard back in over a week.

I saw in the past that there were individuals with access to DCS. If anyone can help, it would be super appreciated!

I thought I’d follow up on this in case anyone else is in search of a OEM equipment pioneer radio security code. I was told today by a shop foreman at a dealership that BMW Corp Tech Dept told him that Pioneer, Becker and Philips radio security codes are no longer available.  He said they still have the Alpine codes. Did they just like delete the file? Kinda ridiculous  .

This is a bummer since we have the oem M5 pioneeer radio and it looks like it works. Wondering if anyone can disable the code system. There are repair schematics out there for this model. Here’s the link

HUGE shout out to KoJo96 for assisting on this one!
