Hi guys,
Long time no talk! I've been around, doing this and that.
I'm trying to clear out the storage room, so I'll be posting a few things for sale. Right now, I have a set of four E38 basketweave wheels for sale. Good, used condition. A little rash here and there, and the finish isn't perfect, but they look great from a few feet away.
Boxed up and ready to go.
$400 + Shipping OBO
Pics available upon request.
EDIT: Let me add that I'll accept a trade for a set of four or five good condition 16x7 E39 Style 29 wheels. If we work a deal, I'll be willing to front some cash to make up any difference in value that we determine.

Bumpo for this, too.
What if I put tires on these and put them on the red car. Would you buy the red car (with red powdercoated E32/E34 brakes, Mark D chip, and 3.91 LS) with these on it?

I'm tempted, but can't remember exactly what they look like and I have too many wheel set laying around as it is.
Need to sell the 17s that I have I guess.

I've had a couple of nibbles but no bites. Yes, the pics you see are the correct wheels.
As I mentioned in my original post, I have pictures available if anyone's interested in the wheels.
Thanks for the plugs, guys.

I've had two guys interested and then decide against the wheels for one reason or another. No, it's not the wheels or the pricing that's the problem; they've just had other reasons to go another direction.
Now looking for a third interested party that can seal the deal.

Make that three interested guys. Bump again.

Part of the reason I think these haven't sold is you can get sets of E38 wheels on ebay for $200 all day long. I just bought a set of perfect E38 wheels for $150 locally. If you want to move them, you might consider lowering the price. Not a flame, just a suggestion.

I agree....these wheels are relatively easy to come by and a lot of 740i owners upgrade to larger sizes....I've seen several sets for $300 in recent months that have been slow at moving.
My thoughts FWIW.

I sold a set that were really nice for $200. I was asking $400, but this douchebag with an 850i he was trying to flip kept calling and I had no other offers, and I was panicking, so I sold them for the unreasonable sum of $200.

My original post has my asking price "or best offer." If anyone is truly interested in these wheels, they are welcome to make me a reasonable offer.
Thanks for the interest.
