Ebay Item number: 180211317741
Rare front spoiler/air dam
BMW 5 Series Front Air Dam E28 1982 to 1988 or E12 1975- 1981 Front spoiler Black with no damage. Ready to install and is made of Polyeurathayne which is very lighweight and durable. No rips, cracks, or tears. Won't crack like fiberglass spoilers! Couple of small scratches on the paint, but in great shape. Cleaning out my friends garage over the weekend and he had to make space for another car, so this spoiler has to go. 2 cooling brake ducts on lower front of spoiler. This will give your older 5 series a really nice aggressive stance and help a little with gas mileage as it is a factory BMW aerodynamic option. BMW part number in on the front lower drivers side duct but hard to make out because it was painted. Shipping is $75.00 to anywhere in the USA. Pickup is welcomed. Ebay Item number: 180211317741

I doubt that'll fit E12s well, given that it appears to be designed to fit the contours of the US E28 bumpers. If it's a factory part, it'll have a factory part number -- what is it?

Hi If you look close at the moldings at the side top it looks more like the Euro E28 configuration. Unfortunately I don't have a E28 or E12 right now without a spoiler on the front to get a perfect match and I've never seen this spoiler before. I can't make out the digits because of the paint over it. It looks like the words are in German though. I tried to lay in under the front of the 535is and it looks like it might work but not flush to the US bumpers. Not sure. Somebody out there must have seen this spoiler before.

Are you sure it's urethane? The rough back-side surface and white showing under the cracks lead me to think it's fiberglass. I suggest you improve your pictures to show these details.

Well last I checked Polyeurathane spoilers like the BBS E28's have some flexibility and the fiberglass won't bend like that without cracking. I think the white you're seeing is primer and it was in his garage for some years now. Will try again on the links. Tried but it didn't work.

Thanks

How did you "try"? What didn't work?
