Works well on B pillar covers,
holding them securely against the pillar up top, too.
And since the B pillar exterior is black...

Where'd that scammer go? He made a post on this thread saying to contact christopherjeff286@gmail.com whom had the part for sale. ( just joined the forum Feb 24th IIRC)

He was very responsive and claimed to have the (NOS!) part, and how honest and trustworthy he was. He claimed to be 68 years old and knew that trust had to be earned. I was surprised he was responding to my email questions and picture requests within moments....
I found the same picture of the part for sale in Greece on Ebay...( was not the rear anyway) Somehow, I have not heard back when I would only purchase PP goods and services-and was willing to pay his full price and his PP fees. and Now the post is gone from this thread.

Buyers beware!

I'm restoring my 535 and will look at the shop for my old ones. I'm fairly certain I saved them and would be glad to help out if in reasonable condition. I won't be back to the shop until this weekend. Please email or PM me if you don't hear back by Sunday. I'm not that active so please feel free to pester me until I respond - not a scammer LOL.

To keep the old one in place, I'd pull it out at the top, put a dab of weatherstripping glue in just at the top, stick it and tape it overnight. Just a dab at the top half inch so you can pull it out when you want to and not have a mess to clean up.
