Anyone successfully ran an IAT in their intake manifold?

I've read mixed reviews on this topic. Due to my new configuration, the intake would be convenient (but not essential).

I've seen heatsoak issues, giving false readings. I suggest placement in a charge piping. I have seen the plastic bodied ones that seal with a rubber grommet work quite well.

I mounted mine opposite the throttle, but it has required 2 -3 trys to restart on hot days. I 'm planning on moving mine down near the i/c.

Mine has been in the intake opposite the TB, never had issues with hot starts. Once you have air flowing over it, it's fine. IMO it should be in the intake, it's more accurate of reading the actual temp entering the engine.
