Hello,
My new e28 525i will move slowly off the line, but it gets to 100kph eventually and slows around 3000rpm. When driving the pedal to floor vs feathering throttle have the same feedback, kinda nothing happens.
Throttle position sensor? Air mass flap thing? Any suggestion is appreciated.

Re: New e28 525i - won't accelerate!
Hello,
Not usual an e28 525i in the States???....I have the same car 87' 525i same "issues" when I bought it 5 years ago. Those engines M30B25 use L Jetronic system so there are a lot of things to check:
Timing point....22° at 1850 rpm. Must use a timing light to check and adjust. (your car is auto o manual gearbox???)
Fuel pump and fuel filter, also air filter.
Distributor cap and rotor
HT leads, spark plugs
Injectors....Are they clean, clogged??
Throttle body clean and adjust TPS
Clean AFM
Vacuum leaks....all air hoses and ducts must be good or new
Intake and exhaust Valves clearance
Coolant Temp sensor (white or blue) must to be ok to send the right signal to ECU
That should be my first jobs....

I see this is your first post -- welcome! Please read and heed the Forum and Tech FAQ sections.
I've moved your thread from General Conversation. Please post technical questions in Tech Talk.
What have you checked or changed? What condition are the cap/rotor/wires/plugs/filters, and what's the fuel pressure?
