You're not going to get any help that way. People will need to know what kind of e23 you have,i.e.; year, engine, trans. Most importantly, what parts you actually want!

Thanks for posting this in the right section! ;)
You might get lucky with a few leads on this board since gear heads travel in packs. One other place you might check is here: http://bmwturbos.scottiesharpe.com/

Good luck!

grsmonkey, I'll give you a buzz tomm!

Hate to say this, but you will spend much, much, much more than the e23 will ever come close to being worth on the market.

I have a rust free '86 735i that I've had since it had only 50K. Now, at 250K it needs a transmission and while I could do the work myself, with the typical HVAC troubles, I would be spending $1000 and then have a $700 car. I have both an auto and a 5-speed that could go in it and I do do dumb things sometimes... just not that dumb.

Otherwise I'll work something out with you for the parts you need. You will have to come and remove them & haul them away. Our grilles are a bit different...

But honestly, unless there is a hugh emotional tie, you can get a much better starting point. Junkyards are full of e23s with nothing much wrong but HVAC problems.

my car came with a 5-speed i actualy want to do a different type of job to the car, i want to fix the body , in terms of engine i was thinking of transplanting a 745i turbo motor, running a haltech ecu and the hvac would be extra. i want to build a street car with a race car flare. i know it will be hard due to the cars weight but i love the shark, and this is the first one that i come across in this good shape down here.

sergboost, where are you located? for the amount of money you are going to throw into that car to make it what you want, I could sell you a real e23 745i.

That being said, if you want a 745i engine, I got one of those for sale.
