Anybody else running EAE with MS?
Anybody else running EAE with MS?
I've given up on conventional accel enrichment at this point. It sucks hard during the cold start to warmup phase and is merely sufficient when running at operating temp. I've used EAE is the past but never gotten it fully worked out. As of this evening, however, it seems to be working very well. Much smoother than TPS based AE. It doesn't seem to be affected by an irregular/lumpy MAP signal either like MAP based AE.
Not putting you out there Dan but are you sure you have the cold accel enrichment multiplier tuned correctly? The normal AE should work damn good, mine feels better than stock e28 did even when cold. Even if you want to play with EAE which I think can make it smoother, you really have to make sure the normal AE is good first. Since the only good way to do it is use EAE enhanced. Which incorporates normal AE with EAE.

Most recent tune. Works very well. Good tip in, good lift-off behavior, good warm up behavior. I gauge the effectiveness of the accel enrichment by the amount of torque reaction the chassis exhibits. Proper enrichment maintains a good AFR as the engine sucks in a big wad of air, resulting in a quick rev and a noticeable movement of the chassis.
One thing to note is that the values are zero'ed above atmospheric. You don't want EAE active under boost. Causes the same kind of PW fluctuation as MAP based AE. These values also may not be ideal for a NA motor since the charge piping restricts air flow during a sudden tip in of the throttle. Much more enrichment is required with free flowing intake systems.
