Are these still on national backorder?
In January 2023 my starter went out and after my experience removing it, I would have loved to replace it with the physically smaller SR441X. But I had no luck finding one anywhere so I had to purchase another big-case OE as a replacement.

I bought a cheapi replica from ebay and haven't had issues after 8000 miles of use. That was back in 2015 or so and I bought another last year for cheap. Seems to be good so far.
The current equivalent is more expensive now but is WAI brand PN: 17237N.

I found one, thanks everyone.
Upon pulling my old starter out, the top bolt was missing. A former owner or mechanic must have been frustrated!

Lucky for you; made it a lot easier removing it!derekwatt617 wrote: Aug 08, 2024 5:58 PM I found one, thanks everyone.

When I changed my starter, I installed studs in the block to facilitate easier R&R for the future. Even with that, getting a nut started on the top stud was a challenge (with an original-style starter).
